Rules
Pay Out
*80% of entry fees will remain in
the purse with 100% added money
*Go round money will be paid
based upon the number of entries and the standard payout
schedule in the NBHA rule book will be used.
Contestants may be paid go round money on more than one
horse in each division.
*The number of checks paid in the
short go per division will be as follows:
4D Format
*1-20 entries 2 places
*21-40 entries 3 places
*41-80 entries 4 places
*81-120 entries 5 places
*121-160 entries 6 places
*161-200 entries 7 places
*201+ entries 8 places
*The total purse will be divided
25% to the 1st and 2nd Go and 50%
to the short go.
*Any prize money not paid out in
a division because of empty slots will be divided
equally among the money winners in that division.
Stalls
*We are limited on stalls so
please book ahead.
*All stalls will be pre-assigned.
*If you have a horse with special
stall needs (like a stallion, etc), please make a note
on the entry form and we will try to accommodate you.
*Entries mailed together will be
stalled together.
*Extra shavings will be available
in a limited number
*Stalls will be available after
12pm on Friday May 22 with 1 bag of shavings.
*Horses that will be tied to a
trailer overnight will NOT be allowed in
the RV area
*Horses that are tied to a
trailer or put on a trailer overnight will be assessed a
$20 “horse on grounds” fee including day truck ins
Vendors
*Vendors are welcome at $50 a day
(electric and water included).

Program
*If anyone would like to place an
ad in our State Finals Program, we need them by April
28, 2009. Please call David Holmes at 607-527-3235 for
more information.
*No reruns will be granted if a
horse falls or equipment breaks.
*Absolutely no circling of the
barrels will be allowed during competition. If a broken
pattern occurs, you may go around each barrel one (1)
time. Violation of this rule will result in a $20 fine,
which must be paid prior to your next run or receipt of
any awards.
*A maximum of three (3) gate
calls will be given after which time a contestant will
be disqualified. Running out of turn makes you subject
to disqualification.
Program continued
*In the event of a tie for
Champion, there will be a run off. Each contestant will
be given a new draw to determine running order.
*All fines, penalty fees, late
fees, etc will go to the NBHA State Fund.
*Anyone not adhering to the dress
code (long sleeved shirt, boots with a heel, sleeves
down, cowboy hat/helmet, etc) will be fined $35
*Anyone who loses their hat
during a run will be fined $10
*Any questions or disputes that
may arise during the show not covered in the rules above
will be settled by the State Director, David Holmes.
Whose decision will be final.
*Absolutely no refunds
Late Entries
*Late entries will be taken up
until the 1st horse runs.
*Everyone who enters after the
postmark date of April 28, 2009 will be an add on.
*Add-ons will run after the class
they are entered in for both goes.
*Add-ons will not be printed in
the draw. They will be posted the day of the show.
Format
*The Open and Youth will be 2
short goes and a finals.
*The Seniors will have one (1) 4D
run which will determine the Senior Championships with
all the money added to the one (1) run.
*We will take the finalists from
the fastest qualifiers per divisions in each go back to
the short go, bumping past any horse/rider combination
previously qualified.
*The number of contestants to go
forward to the short go will be determined by the number
of entries as follows:
*Over 250
entries 30 Finalists per division (15
each go)
*200-249
entries 26 Finalists per division (13
each go)
*150-199
entries 20 Finalists per division (10
each go)
*100-149 entries
16 Finalists per division (8 each go)
*50-99 entries
10 Finalists per division (5 each
go)
*Under 49
entries 8 Finalists per
divisions (4 each go)
*The short go in all divisions is
a “clean slate” run.
*Contestants may advance more
than one horse in a division to go to the finals.
*Knocked over barrels is a NO
TIME, consistent with NBHA rules.
*In the event there is a
scoreboard, the official time will be in the office.
